Finding ways to beat the heat of summer in Japan?
We, at High Five has one way to beat it off. Once a month the Saturday students have cooking day, and our dish for this month, "COLD NOODLES" perfect for summer!
First, the kids had one egg each to peel, after peeling, Yuki sensei taught them how to make a tulip-like egg. They were really amazed on how easy it is.
After the egg, they were assigned into groups, one group was assigned for tomatoes, others for peas and meat.
After preparing the ingredients, it’s time to eat! The kids applied their creativity in putting the ingredients on top of the noodles. The result was fantastic! Just look at those ready to eat cold noodles!
The kids had 2 or 3 rounds of cold noodles and all of them were full. Of course, they all used English as their medium of language. It’s nice to see how kids learn what words they needed in such situations.
